Despite the institutional architecture - it looks and feels like a high school, has no convenient entry to or exit from registration desk, nor are there cozy nooks for sitting and talking, has a get to your class on time feel - the hotel is very conveniently located for walking to and from the many delightful restaurants and shops in the center of Saratoga Springs. You need never eat a meal in the expensive, overhyped, and very ordinary hotel restaurant.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights while visiting Skidmore College. The staff were very nice.The location is convenient, but I think the room could have been a little clearner, ie. Water marking dripping down the dresser and the bathroom floor was not the cleanest I've seen. our bathroom sink did not drain and we waited 3 hours for someone to come and unclog it! Also, they charge for parking and don't tell you until you check out and have $10 per night charges on your bill.

I was a bit skeptical, based on the reviews I read but was very pleasantly surprised: the staff was friendly and attentive, the room was clean and nicely decorated, and the location was superb! I would stay there again.
